WCC31 Heidi's sketch challenge

Heidi presented us with a sketch challenge this week over at the Watercooler:

Are you Wild About Flowers?

For this card I used the whisper white thick cardstock to add my watercoloring. This can be done with an acrylic block, markers then spritzing with water. But actually I didn't have an acrylic block large enough for the space, so I used the lid of an old clear stamp box. Works like a charm! I like to use setting #1 on my heating tool to quickly dry the paper. After that I stamped on the flowers. It is super easy. Don't be afraid to give it a try. This card is going to a very special lady, whom I've known since her birth. Recently, she completed her requirements for her English degree:

stamps: wild about flowers, teeny tiny wishes
ink: blushing bride, melon mambo, so saffron, wild wasabi, old olive, night of navy
paper: whisper white & thick, mint macaron, mossy meadow, night of navy, English Garden d.s.p.
other: word window, label washi, 3/4" circle punches

You can see what the other artists created by following the link at the top of this post -- see "Watercooler". Also do consider uploading your card using the sketch. It really is fun!

  1. Great ingenuity using the lid instead of a block. Love that! This is a beautiful card and captures the sketch challenge perfectly. Your friend is sure to love it.
