Wacky Watercooler Sprinkles August with Life

It's Blog Hop time! The Wacky Watercooler gang is at it again. If you were following the blog hop order, you likely arrived here after viewing the breezy stylings of Pricilla. She has quite a deep repetoire of ideas which have me wanting to rush down to my studio and make more, more, more.

This time we are using a project featured in the annual catalogue as a guide for one of our creations. Another challenge is to create using the tree builder punch and sprinkles of life stamp set.

On page 101 of the catalogue I found this simple example of a card you can make with the Banner Banter stamp set (shown below). Now I haven't used this set for awhile and I actually think it is a cute set to use for children.

When I saw this card I thought it would look neat if the flags were on a cupcake. This card meets the criteria for the catalogue CASE as well as featuring sprinkles of life/tree builder punch.

stamps: sprinkles of life, celebrate today, banner banter
ink: night of navy, daffodil delight, real red, tip top taupe, crumb cake
paper: whisper white, crumb cake, mint macaron, real red
punches: tree builder and banner
While looking for ideas for projects using the tree builder punch, I came across a card by Kelly Kent. I like how she used only the tree builder punch except for the baby's heard.

I decided to add a little more to it. A dear friend of mine just welcomed a granddaughter (on her own birthday no less).  I found the bow and balloon tie from the balloon framelits perfect additions to hold the baby bundle in the tree branch.

stamps: sheltering tree, something to say
ink: soft suede, blushing bride, blackberry bliss
paper: blushing bride, English garden d.s.p., early espresso, pear pizzaz, whisper white, pink pirouette
tree builder and 3/4" circle punch; balloon framelits

I know you will be able to imagine you saw three projects. The first one is a two-in-one creation. Next up is thrill-seeking demo, Deb. Be sure to watch her Z-line video. She says it wasn't scary, but I say, better her than me! When she's not doing daredevil stunts, you can find her creating some jaw-dropping projects. Click on NEXT below to continue on the Blog Hop with Deb's "smart" ideas (see the pun I made there?).  Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Hi Bev, thanks for continuing to be part of our awesome blog hop group. I love your projects. The combination CASE/Sprinkles of Life project works together beautifully and really steps up the original in the catalogue. Well done! What a cute baby card you've created with the cloud from the Tree Builder punch. That and combining several punched out trees as branches really makes this card the epitome of the "Rock-a-bye Baby" song.
