Even a Calgary Stampin' Up! Demo has off days

Received a new stamp set the other day. It is a gorgeous set but it does require a little bit of patience. Sometimes I am patient, and sometimes I am not. Hmph! Well the layering requires a keen eye. It sure helps to have an acrylic block that has lines on it. The stamps are photopolymer and therefore you can see through them. That is a good, good thing.

Anyway, I thought I would share the card with you, even though I am not very happy with it. I love the design, and the colours I chose, but I will have to give this another try on another day. I think it helps to share cards that aren't perfect, so other cardmakers don't get discouraged.

I have named the card "Water Wings". Do you remember water wings? They are good to have if you can't swim very well. This poor little butterfly has water wings because he is having trouble flying.

stamps: tin of cards, remembering your birthday, flower patch, watercolor wings
ink: pink pirouette, blushing bride, calypso coral, crumb cake, tip top taupe
paper: calypso coral, blushing bride, whisper white

Oh, and incidentally, if you have been wanting to order from me, and can't get my name to come up on the Stampin' Up! website, you can try the links listed on the sidebar. But if that still doesn't work, this Calgary Stampin' Up! Demonstrator would be pleased to put your order through personally. All you need to do is be willing to pay by credit card. I also will accept e-transfers from banks. And, of course, please provide a mailing address to ship your items directly to you. Anyone in Canada can order from me.

Have a super August long weekend everyone! Enjoy the sun and look out for "Water Wing" butterflies.

  1. Bev this card is looking great and your little butterfly looks like he/she is making some loopy passes over those flowers. I really like the combination of the stamp sets and your beautiful colour choices. I'm waiting for this stamp set in my next order, so will be excited to try it out.
