I was going to do a special fold within a card, until I happened upon a card by Deb Valder. She was kind enough to create a video on how to make a chevron folded pattern to place on a card. I think this is a fabulous way to use up scraps of designer series paper. Now all you stampers out there -- you can't tell me you don't have miles of scraps lying around, lol.
Anyway, here is the LINK to the video, if you don't see it embedded below:
... And here is the card I made and gave to a couple who just got married:
stamps: tin of cards (sentiment) * NEW *
paper: whisper white thick, crushed curry, whisper white, melon mambo, English garden d.s.p.
* NEW *
ink: mossy meadow... and the butterfly thinlits
Hope your day is full of butteflies ... and ... chevron patterns!
Bev what a wonderful choice of challenges for the Watercooler Challenge Blog this week. Awesome. I love the little fancy folds chart you used for inspiration and most of all I really like the card that you made. I've never seen this fold before and I found it very inspiring. Your card is stunning and I'm sure the newlyweds will love it.
ReplyDeleteAhh thanks Penny for the kind comments.
