Family, Heritage, Louis Riel, Islander or Presidents' Day -- thinking of you -- PPA239

Whatever you are celebrating today, I hope in some way you think about family:

The bond that links your true family is not one of blood,
but of respect and joy in each other's life.

Richard Bach

Over at Pals Paper Arts there is a colour challenge.  Here are the colours they are using for this week's challenge.

It took me a little while (and I had to add a splash of garden green) but here is my submission:

stamps: sheltering tree, butterfly basics, an open heart
paper: real red, soft suede, crumb cake, whisper white
ink: soft suede, real red, crumb cake, (and a smidge of garden green)
blendies: blush and crumb cake
other: 2-3/8" scallope and 2" circle punches, real red 1/8" taffeta ribbon, spring flowers e.f.

You have some time to join in the fun if you wish. Check out the other projects (there are quite a few) at the link above.

  1. Beautiful, Bev! I love the texture. The splash of green sets everything off. Thanks for sharing at Pals Paper Arts this week!

  2. The leaves are layout out perfectly and the delicate stance the bird's feet lay on the leaf is superb! Thank you for joining us this week at Pals Paper Art Color Challenge.
