Wetlands Whisper

Nothing like a hot summer's day, with chickadees chirping, blue jays calling, and seagulls soaring to inspire creativity.  Are these sandpipers? I thought so, but maybe they are another species of wetland birds. Join me as my imagination enters the story within the cards:

Can't you just feel the warmth of the sun?  The birds shimmering in the heat as you look out from the beach.  You can hear the seagulls above circling and calling out -- wondering if the sandpipers have found a school of fish.

Maybe they are only nipping at the small clouds of dragonflies hovering above the water's surface.

Now, as it is dusk the heat of the day settles down. The sky takes on a darker hue. Only the sandpipers are left making their chattering noises as they look for a place to rest for the night.

The water gently folds back and forth along the shoreline ...
like a whisper ...

  2. I love the way you've used the Wetlands stamp set in these cards. I'll have to experiment when I get my Grunge stamp set. I think I like your word-pictures equally well...
