WWC61 Anything Goes

This week's challenge is perhaps my favourite. And that is because it has given me the opportunity to show the shadow boxes I have been making to represent the seasons.

Some of you may remember that I've made them for a very special family member who has been having trouble with her memory. My idea was to give her some independence in figuring out the season and the month by looking at the current shadow box on her wall. And then while admiring the items within, perhaps trigger some memories in the recesses of her mind.

I have learned a lot about shadow boxes since I started. I was actually a little intimidated at the beginning. I scoured the internet looking at many wonderful projects. That, of course, made the task even more daunting. However, I persevered and, I think, I developed my own style. My idea was to have four lovely boxes which I could rotate seasonally for years. Now that I have the fourth one completed, I have a little dilemma.  I may have to redo the summer shadow box with the new ideas floating around in my head.

Anyway, I want to share with you, dear followers, the three other ones before showing you Spring.

And finally, Spring:

I did look at several shadow boxes for inspiration. I spent a fair amount of time looking at Deb's before beginning. Click HERE to see the post which has her Mother's Day shadow box.

Before I sign off, there is one other item I wish to share with you. After very careful and painful deliberation, I have come to the conclusion I need to step down as a Watercooler Artist. I will continue to post my creations on my blog whenever the mood strikes me. Please do come back to see what I'm working on. Why not get my blog posts delivered directly to your inbox? If you look at the sidebar on the my blog, you will be able to set that up.

I am happy to say the Watercooler has a few new artists in the club bringing a plethora of creativity. I am sure you will be inspired by their projects, and I hope you will continue to check out the weekly challenges. Please do try a few of them and upload your creations to the site. I plan to enter some myself after a time.

HERE is the link to the site which I suggest you bookmark for future use.

That's all folks!

And ... may you ...
