WWC58 Gail's Reflection

This week's Watercooler Wednesday challenge is all about reflection. It is a really fun technique and much easier than you might expect. Click HERE for a tutorial on how to do it.

"Since everything is a reflection of our minds ...
Everything can be changed by our minds."
Buddha

For my card below, I started by inking up a textured stamp from Timeless Textures with lost lagoon and stamped across the middle of my paper. Then, I used sponges with the other colours to create the sky and sand effects. Lastly, I used the new basic black (which is awesome by the way) to stamp the birds from the Wetlands set on the page, and on the piece of acetate (or a window sheet). I really like the sandpipers in this set. I've used this set all the time.

stamps: wetlands, timeless textures
paper: lost lagoon, whisper white
ink: basic black, pool party, smoky slate, lost lagoon daffodil delight

Check out the cards by the other artists HERE. This is also the place where you can upload your reflection card. I hope you give it a try.

That's all folks!

And ... may you ...

  1. Bev, what a wonderful reflection card. You've captured the look of water and sky wonderfully well.

  2. I'm just getting around to taking a closer look at all the DT cards up close. I love these little birds on the beach! Great image to use for this technique! Your water colored background is quite nice too!
