WWC 35 Marsha's Anything Goes Challenge

This week our Watercooler Wednesday challenge is hosted by Marsha. She decided on an "Anything Goes" theme.  Wow! Be sure to take a look at every artist's project as they are very unique.

For me, it was the perfect time to submit my next shadow box. If you remember, I am making a shadow box for each season for a special person who needs a little help remembering. You will be happy to hear I am learning a lot about shadow boxes. What you can put in? What can't you! Since this is an Anything Goes challenge, I didn't feel obligated to stick to only stamping elements, as you will soon see.

This little pumpkin in the left-hand corner was stamped and cut out four times. I put dimensionals between each pumpkin. I mounted the leaves on a piece of plastic I cut from a folder   Try to ignore the light shadows created by the glass. I photographed it with the glass on to show you the little apple on the outside to indicate the current month.

stamps: sheltering tree, day by day (project life), sprinkles of life, pumpkin stamp (non SU)
ink: cherry cobbler, tangelo twist, so saffron, chocolate chip mossy meadow, hello honey
paper: English garden dsp, whisper white, delightful dijon, chocolate chip
other: acorns, berries, leaves, mossy meadow stitched satin ribbon (retired), plastic sheet

I would love to see some of your projects. "Anything Goes" really does mean that, so any kind of creation will do. When you check out the other "anything goes" projects, HERE, you will get more ideas. Then create your own and upload it to our site. You may even be our winner. Good luck!

  2. Bev I really like the concept for your shadow boxes.....creating the four seasons for someone who can't remember. How thoughtful. If they are all as wonderful as this little gem, they'll be quite the collection. I really like all the details you put in like layering the pumpkin and the little apple on the messaging. Simply beautiful and a treat to look at. Thanks so much for sharing and have a wonderful week.
