WCC18 Sketch Challenge Birthday Card

The Watercooler Artists have come up with an interesting sketch challenge.

WCC18 sketch challenge

I always love having a design element to begin, as it eliminates a certain amount of length to the creative process. Well ... as long as I'm not fighting the design. Sometimes I cannot stop whatever design my brain has decided for me. That is the interesting part with creation. Luckily, I was able to channel my energies on the new set "Celebrate Today".

I always need a birthday card and I know several people having birthdays in March.

stamps: celebrate today
paper: so saffron, cajun craze whisper white
ink: so saffron, elegant eggplant, tangerine tango, white and irridescent e.p.
lucky stars embossing folder, balloon framelits

"Let's face it,
a nice creamy chocolate cake
does a lot for a lot of people;
it does for me."

Audrey Hepburn

If you're celebrating a birthday, I hope you have lots of balloons and creamy chocolate cake.

Now you can see what the other artists have created with the sketch at Watercooler Challenges. And don't forget to link up your version of the sketch for everyone to admire.

  6. Wow. Another great reason to want the Celebrate Today stamps and dies. Very clever to use the line of flags image as one of the banners. Another card whose colors, stars and joyful look would work for Chinese New Years. Happy Birthday to the new year filled with sheep, goats and rams. Hugs to you too!

  8. Everything about this card yells "happy", from the embossed stars to the confetti look on the balloon and the little banners. What a funny and joyful birthday card Bev! I like how you used the words and banner for the two bottom elements on the sketch, and your blend of rich colours for the card. TFS.
