When the children were little, there was more fuss. Birthday parties with friends which could mean quite a lot of organizing: booking party rooms or choosing themes, sending out invitations, having games and treats for the friends attending, as well as finding those very special birthday presents requested by the birthday boy or girl.
Today it is more low key. This gives me time to work on special birthday cards putting my creative energy to work in a more relaxing way.
