Happy St. Patrick's Day and get ready for Easter

Brenda Quintana has several tutorials for some holiday-shaped treat holders for hershey's kisses. Here is a link to her blog:

Look down the right side of the blog to find the 3-D item you wish to make.

The photo didn't turn out very well but below are two of the shamrocks I made this year.

Now for Easter, I have made what are called sour cream containers filled with candy Easter eggs.

I have it from reliable sources that the term comes from the shape of the containers Wendy's has used for sour cream to put on those delicious baked potatoes. Also they have been used for Italian ices, a frozen treat called Jungle Juices, Lola's, Lemon Ice, macadamia nuts, and, if you can imagine, milk! It's been an interesting journey finding out the origins. At any rate, these containers are very simple to make.

I used sheets from the print poetry DSP pack in the Spring Catalogue. Each sheet can make two. Any size of cardstock will work. The crimper helps to seal the edges. I won't go into the process, but if you have any questions, just let me know. The photos tell you everything you need to know.
