Stampin' Up! Online Extravaganza coming soon!

Hi Friends,

I am in the throws of making my own Christmas cards to mail out by the end of November. I am up to 60 cards and I think I need only 10 more. This card is very simple but, I think, a little bit elegant.

Notice the blue hue over the snowman? All you need is a sponge and soft sky ink. I just tapped the sponge in the ink and then lightly bounced the sponge over the snowman.

The scalloped mat around the snowman and the sentiment were created with the Layering Ovals Framelits.  However, the oval scallop in white was created with the retired scallop oval punch.

Here are the rest of the details about what I used:

stamps: Christmas Magic, Versatile Christmas (sentiment - retired)
ink: tuxedo memento black, cherry cobbler, soft sky
paper: whisper white thick (card base), cherry cobbler, This Christmas designer series specialty paper.
other: layering ovals framelits, scallop oval punch (retire), warm & cheer washi tape, dimensionals, multipurpose liquid glue, sponge

And, coming next week there is a sale:

Online Extravaganza: November 21-28 Starting Monday, we’ll have select products 10-40% off for one week only!

Stampin' Up! has told me to check back on Thursday, November 17th to get all the details. I will post them for you to read Thursday evening.

That's all folks!

Anniversary Fold Card and NEW Stampin' Up! Stitched Framelits

Hi friends,

Still having some fun with this fancy fold. Notice how I added a strip of dsp at the top placing the drapery fold about a third down the card. This is the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper. I just love the colours in this pack. The glitter ribbon is in the Holiday Catalogue and comes in a package with two colours: sweet sugarplum and silver.

Take a look at this tutorial on splitcoaststampers to get the idea. Here are the instructions for mine:

instructions: DSP measuring 9” x 3-1/2”
score on long side: 1”, 1-1/2”, 2-1/2”, 3”, 4”, 4-1/2”, 5-1/2”, 6”, 7”, 7-1/2”
turn dsp so short side is across the top with widest scored section is at the bottom
on a paper cutter slice from ½” across on short side to first scored line (on an angle)

*****
Also, today I would like to tell you about some new framelits which are available for purchase. They are stitched framelits. I will be getting these ones for sure. I like having the look of stitching without having to actually do any of the sewing stuff.

You can see what they look like and what you get by clicking HERE. But don't worry if you can't afford them yet. They will be in the next annual catalogue!

THESE stamp sets which apparently coordinate with the stitched framelits are on sale for the month of November.

Happy Thanksgiving #stampinupcanada

Are you enjoying the changing colours of leaves in your area? Sadly, here we have experienced an early snowfall that at present, wants to stay.

At the class I held near the end of September, one of the cards we made was for Thanksgiving. I've found so many uses for the swirly bird stamp set and it's accompanying thinlits. Check out the bundle by clicking HERE. The pine bough embossing folder is wonderful for fall but also for winter and especially Christmas cards! Click HERE to see that folder which is in the Holiday Catalogue.

stamps: swirly bird, teeny tiny wishes
ink: peekaboo peach, cajun craze
paper: peekaboo peach, tangerine tango, very vanilla, pumpkin pie
other: pine bough embossing folder (HC), swirly scribbles thinlits.

At class we also made a drapery fold card and a Christmas card. Anyone who orders online with me using the host code: UFEPP623, will receive a PDF of the cards we made.

Hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

That's all folks!
